The purpose of the inspections is to provide you with information about
the condition of systems and components of the house at the time of the
inspection with a focus on defective conditions and safety issues. A
typical inspection involves the following steps:
- Inspector arrives at the property, explains what is going
to take place and asks about any special conditions or requests. You are
presented with an inspection agreement, describing the scope of
services, for your review and signature.
- While you review the inspection agreement, the inspector
makes a rapid assessment of the property to determine the best sequence
for the inspection relative to the specific property.
- The actual inspection should take place with you present.
The inspection involves visually inspecting many systems and components.
(Please refer to What An Inspection Covers).
- A final assessment of the property is conducted, and the
inspector discusses any key findings and addresses any questions. Your
report will be prepared with 24 hours or sooner; possibly at the time of
the inspection.
